Voices Through Corridors at Official Hospital Opening
On the 7th February 2012 the Redeveloped Manor Hospital celebrated its official opening. The Voices Through Corridors team were asked to present the project at the event for the enjoyment of those attending. Over the course of a couple of hours the team met many people; staff, volunteers, and HRH the Duke of Gloucester who officially opened the new building.
Those who visited the stand had the opportunity to listen to a selection of 34 audio clips taken from Oral Histories collected by the project to date as well as view the ‘history of the Manor timeline’ which can also be found in its interactive form on this website.
The event was also the perfect opportunity to dig for more stories, Debbie (Project Coordinator) and our wonderful volunteers will be interviewing them soon, so keep in touch!
